Weight Gain In Months Following Decompression

Hi all,
I was just diagnosed with a chiari last July (2018) after 3 years of severe symptoms that no doctor could seem to diagnose. I had surgery last December (2018) and had to have a surgery in early January of this year to repair a severe spinal fluid leak that developed after all the pain meds caused severe vomiting.

So, I am now about 11 months post op from the second surgery and I am concerned about some weight gain I continue to see even though I am active and eating well. I play on my college’s volleyball team and was actually able to make it back in time for the season. We practice and/or lift every single day and all my friends actually make fun of me for how healthy I eat lol.

Since having surgery, I honestly have been eating less and have gained a decent amount of weight. I have always been a small person. I am 5’ 5" and a prior to surgery I weighed about 115-120, a lot of that being muscle from lifting. Since then, I have continued to gain weight and now have been hanging around 145 for a while. In the past, I have never had to worry about calories and now find myself making sure that it doesn’t go up anymore. I still eat far better than most of my friends and I’m very active so it just doesn’t make any sense. I’ve never had any issue until after surgery. Could my hormones or something have been screwed up in the surgery? I’m not sure what I should do at this point. Has anyone else had similar experiences and found a solution???
