A little confused

My new doctor ordered a CT scan of my head and spine. They only did my head because she wrote lumbar spine instead of cervical. The results came back no ibtracranial abnormalities. I had an MRI in May of 2014 that showed the chiari. Shouldn't the CT scan of my head show something?

No Ct scans are usless. Have a cfs flow study that is a Brain MRI that will see if the spinal fluid is being inhibited and that will tell your doctor if you need decompression surgery. Go to a neurosurgeon because most doctors are clueless about Chiari and how to test for it.

You need an MRI of your brain and spine to check for fluid (syrinx) build up and a good neurosurgeon that specializes in Chiari.
