We are patients and survivors of Chiari (types I-IV), here for your support.

I want to appologize to all for not being on and checking in lately we have been undergoing much in our house - good and bad. First the good my 5 year old started Kindergarten this year and we homeschool, and my oldest daughter who has been engaged since October told my husband and I in December that she was pregnant so I am going to be a grandma

Now for the bad - for the last 6 weeks Lily has been throwing up. I called to get her into see her GI specialist and found that he switched hospitals - so I called another dr who was part of the hospital and he was the rudest man I had ever met... so we called the Cleveland Clinicand got her into see her original GI dr - they got us in on an emergency situation, and he looked at Lily, talked with Lily spent about 45 min with us and said he really wanted to talk to her Neurosurgeon and see if they could get her Mri moved up. He seemed worried but didn't say why -

Well I waited 4 days and when I didnt hear anything I called her GI again. They said that they had talked to her NS and he agreed to move up the MRI that was last thursday - so on friday I called the NS office and they hadnt gotten it changed yet - on saturday Lily was up all night she was vomitting 14 times. I called the 24 hour nurse care our insurance has and her GI dr trying to figure out what to do - I didn't really want to take her to the ER unless they thought it would help because ER's usually look at that and say "oh its a virus" , Noooo she has Chiari's.

On Monday I called the NS office again and was told that they had already known about the weekend that both her GI and the on call nurse had called already - her Mri was scheduled for the next day at 7 am and then we went in today to see the dr - first the MRI came back with 93% fluid flow which is awesome. After spending time with Lily though he felt he knew what was wrong - she has hydrocephalits they rushed her down for a Ct and we will hear tomorrow am the definate. I am both scared and numb! but I will let you all the results as soon as I know - thanks
