Simple Pleasures 1/17/2011 - Password Tracker

Just yesterday my husband was complaining because all of a sudden his cell phone sent him a message saying that he did not have the correct password for his voicemail.  Apparently, the service provider recently added this additional level of privacy protection.  It is so frustrating that we live in a world that makes us have to protect ourselves everytime we turn around.  How many passwords do you have to track?  I could not even fathom a guess myself.  Too many - that is for sure.

So today I am celebrating a little simple pleasure I came across a few months ago.  It is a program I installed on my computer called 1Password.  There are, apparently, quite a few programs out there that work similarly.  But 1 password is the one I have - and I love it.  No more having to keep track of all the different account passwords I have out there.  On top of that, it also houses my personal information and credit card info.  So no more jumping up and running to grab my wallet if I want to order something online.  Which, as you Chiarians know,  can trigger a Drop Attack --- so the fewer times I have to jump up and run the better. I create 1 password - my master password - and it remembers the rest.  Also very secure.

Unfortunately for my hubster, it does not work on voicemail - LOL.  But since I don't have to remember so many other passwords, remembering the one for his voicemail (which I had to set up for him yesterday -- of course -- he is technologically challenged), is not so bad.
