"Pets enrich our lives!" said one AVM Survivor.

From the scaly ones to the furry ones, that goldfish in a bowl to a majestic horse, a majority of us, if not all, have at least one.

And for various reasons: a hand down from a dear friend, a guide/guard dog, therapy. Check out a shared blog from Armando (BF resident writer) about pets detecting illnesses.

So let's start sharing some: post something about your pet, a story, pictures! We love to see them!

angie.  Winnie  Lily

My husband and I have 3 dogs, my service dog Lily who is a 165lb Mastiff and two labs, Winnie a black and silver and Angie a yellow.   There are days when I just don't feel like doing anything and these girls give me the boost I need to get up and go. Lily is always by my side and watches me every minute. I use her for balance but she gives me her heart! I walk with a rolling walker . I attach her leash to it and she helps me pull it. I have both shoulders replaced and have a difficult time but not when she is with me. The labs know to stay back and that Lily is the leader of the pack when it comes to me. Still, they are sensitive and loving to both my husband and I and know when we need that extra lick on the face! Would not do without my girls. They surely take your mind off of your problems!
