the physiatrist i was seeing for fibro pain was fairly certain i had MS - he ordered an MRI, when it came back that everything was fine he decided to look at it himself - he called my DH and i in to talk about his finding - when we got there he was all excited, he had studied chiari in med school but in his several years of practice he had never seen a case (he was so happy!) - as he was setting things up to show us his finding my DH jokingly said to me "now we're going to see if you have a brain" - after the Dr explained the MRI to us i gave my DH a great big smile and said "i've got so much brain it's going down my back!"

When i first found out i had CM, i explained it to my dad the way the NS had, and said "basically, my brain is sinking." He leaned back in his chair and looked... happy. he started to laugh. I asked him why, and he said. "All this time, i wasn't sure, but here you have it! She does have a brain!" Haha dad. wicked funny. Wait, it gets better. After he calmed down he took my hand in his. "seriously tho nik, i'm sorry for your SHRINKING brain." I SAID SINKING DAD! NOT SHRINKING!!!!

Also, Laughed out loud when i read Renee's post! Too funny! and Abby, i totally know what you mean. hehehe. happens to me all the time.

One night after My doc put me on elavil + ambian , to sleep thru
The pain ( i had not slept thru the night in 6 yrs). I took my pills
Went to bed & woke up the next morning. It was amazing I had slept all night long. Yeah! Then my husband came in with coffee & said "I just cleaned up the kitchen. The kids must have thrown a party last night after we went to bed, the kitchen was totalled & someone had put out a small fire". About that time my 15 yr old daughter came in & told a somewhat embarrassing story. It seems that around 1:00 am she heard a noise in the kitchen, when she walked in ,there I was trying to cook using my bruele torch. The lesson there: stay in bed after you take your meds. Oh, FYI -peanut butter, choc.chips, butterscotch chips, coconut & marshmellow on toast , are really hard to clean-up after being melted all over your kitchen. :)

I can just see your feet sticking out of the hamper and your legs waving like crazy, but Suz, please be careful when you hit that noggin of yours.

I was trying to tell my neurologist about my migraines, and could not think of the right word to use, so Dr. Woods jumped in and answered for me.  Was so glad he did, the words just got stuck and I went blank.
